Karen S. Gann
Division President, Southwest Region
Karen has over 25 years of experience in every facet of sales and operations in the litigation support industry. By her own description, she has “done every job there is.” Accordingly, as President of the Southwest region of U.S. Legal Support, she brings an unmatched degree of firsthand expertise to her role.
In 1991, she began her career in litigation support at Compex Legal Services, beginning by standing in front of a copy machine in the Production department, and moving on to work in every division of Operations. In 1993, she joined Guyton Litigation Support, a national leader in mass tort record retrieval litigation, first as their Director of Customer Service and then served as an instrumental member of their sales team. In 2007, as the result of an acquisition, Karen joined U.S. Legal Support. She was promoted to Director of Sales for the Southwest region in 2014 where she led her team to a 14% growth year over year. In 2017, she stepped into the role of Division President.
Like all U.S. Legal Support Division Presidents, Karen has responsibility for every facet of her region’s operations and performance, which includes one of the company’s three record retrieval facilities. She is particularly effective thanks to her diverse operations and sales background. Whether it’s a process change that reduces the steps in order entry or vetting vendors that would offer better service at a lower cost, Karen is constantly seeking out ways to make operations faster, easier, less costly and above all, more efficient.
As a leader, Karen focuses on counseling employees, teaching, and making sure the right people are in the right roles for her team. She also places a great deal of importance on building and maintaining relationships with the Southwest network of court reporters. By applying a combination of empathy, expertise and drive, Karen has made the Southwest one of the top-performing divisions in the company.
