April G. Orlando
Division President, Southeast Region
April Orlando serves as the Division President of U.S. Legal Support’s Southeast region. With more than 20 years of professional experience in both the medical and legal industries, she has been integral to the development of the sales team and the Southeast’s continued growth.
April is a career sales and business development professional. Prior to joining U.S. Legal Support, she worked in strategic business development and sales at several medical device companies, most notably Depuy Spine (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson), Biomet Trauma and RS Medical. In these positions, she was responsible for sales and marketing for medical implants and managed logistics for multiple salespeople. During this phase of her career, she attended over 400 surgical procedures.
She joined U.S. Legal Support as a Director of Business Development in Central Florida. Beginning with a very small team and a handful of reporters, she expanded revenues dramatically, and was promoted to Director of Sales for the Southeast Region and then Division President in 2017. In that role, she is responsible for every aspect of the performance of the Southeast Region, including revenues, operations, strategic planning, budgeting, acquisitions and of course, delivering best-in-industry client service.
As a professional and team member, April has a fierce competitive drive – she tells people, straightforwardly, that she hates coming in second. She believes in leading by example, and will not ask her team to do anything she won’t do herself, working right next to them. She gets her greatest professional satisfaction from seeing her direct reports advance professionally.
To date, the bulk of her region’s business has been Florida, but the sky is the limit in other states. She also sees technology as a force multiplier for U.S. Legal Support’s most valuable asset – its people. With technology, she seeks to create efficiencies that will help support court reporters externally, and internally, provide ways to be more efficient as a bigger, better team.
April is a graduate of Stetson University.
